They're neighbors\, parents\, and friends. They're people in recovery\, and those supporting a loved one. \n\nJust like CPR/ First Aide\, you could save a life with Mental Health First Aide. \n\nWhen more people are equipped with the tools they need to start a dialogue\, more people can get the help they need.\n\nMental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program.  \n\nIt teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge\, how to listen nonjudgmentally\, how to  give reassurance\, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and services.  \n\n \n\nThis course is being offered at no cost to participants by \n\nSheridan County Behavioral Health Coalition \n\nand Richland County Behavioral Health Local Advisory Council.  \n\nInstruction will be provided by Rev. Dr. Timothy W. Tharp\, a 30-year educator with numerous qualifications and participation in various mental health organizations in Richland County.
