It shall be the purpose of this organization to promote the general welfare of, and assist in the commercial, industrial, and civic progress of the region. Furthermore, it is recognized that an integral part of  accomplishing this goal is to insure the welfare and progress of the Business and Agriculture Community of Sheridan County and Northeastern Montana.

Mission Statement

“The Hub of Northeast Montana and the Gateway to Canada”

We extend to all our visitors the warmest of welcomes.  We all invite you to come to Sheridan County for a visit.  We urge you to stay a few days or more (or years!) and enjoy our facilities, our hospitality and our clean air.  There is only one traffic light in the entire county, so you need not fear congested roads or streets.

We are also committed to the development of the economy of our county.  We have much to offer some enterprising entrepreneurs.  But, don’t take our word for this…visit us and see for yourself.

Plentywood is the County Seat and is a pleasant, progressive community of our 1800 citizens.  We are tucked away in the far northeast corner of Montana.  We are only 120 miles south of the provincial capital of Saskatchewan, the Queen City of Regina.  We have a 24-hour port of entry into Canada about 15 minutes north on Highway 16. North Dakota is only 24 miles away traveling on Highway 5.

Sheridan County is one of our nation’s less-traveled areas.  It therefore, is pretty much undiscovered.  We occupy a special corner of this earth and we love it because it is peaceful, safe, and beautiful.  It also represents the true meaning of freedom, space, community pride, and our big, big sky.

Browse through this website and you will see we have much to offer.   We invite you to visit us for a stress-free, fun-filled, family oriented vacation, and…one that is “wallet-friendly” too!
